The position is responsible to continually improve and monitor processes, and quality to ensure compliance to regulatory and industry requirements.

This includes planning support, mentorship, training and troubleshooting assistance in all areas, while working to develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the URS Oil & Gas Projects USA Management Teams.As a strategic business partner, the Quality Manager will work with the service line management and corporate organization to ensure the programs are consistent with corporate standards, across disciplines and across projects.

Provide daily leadership to the project employees, supporting the development and execution of functional plans, and, measurement and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).Coach and mentor Quality & Technical Services project staff, providing daily leadership to the team.Align the Quality & Technical Services personnel with the business priorities of Projects USA Management, ensuring direct & indirect reports (and their teams) demonstrate a commitment to excellent customer service Support and champion participation in the URS Quality Management System (QMS).In collaboration with Projects USA Management, identify and communicate quality opportunities to meet or exceed targets Participate in the recruitment and selection of staff, ensure staffing plans are developed and coverage is maintained.Ensure resources are effectively deployed between Projects USA projects, and, work to develop and maintain longevity in our workforce Ensure all newly hired Quality & Technical Services employees have completed training assessments and personal development plans Perform or oversee Performance Management reviews on direct reports to enhance employee development.Review all performance indicators for the Quality & Technical Services activities and provide input/take action where required to ensure targets are met.Remain current on jurisdicational regulations and applicable industry standards.

Communicate updates to the Quality & Technical Services personnel and Projects USA Management for any new and/or revised regulations that may apply.In collaboration with URS Oil & Gas Projects USA Management, ensure compliance and alignment with the URS Quality Management System (QMS), contractual Quality obligations, specification obligations and Quality Plan requirements.Working in collaboration with the URS Oil & Gas, Corporate Quality Program Manager, continually improve and update the Quality Management Systems (including but not limited to manuals, procedures, work instructions, forms and records), ensuring the program is compliant, effective and operations friendly to the URS Oil & Gas organization.Oversee and support the development of quality control protocols on new project start-ups, provide tools, processes and procedures and ensure consistency within the project.Provide best practice guidance to project teams, utilize centralized resources for trouble shooting and problem solving as required, manage escalated issues with leadership and or client representatives as required.Participate in procedure and process development initiatives as required.Responsible for timely support to Projects USA Management, to ensure satisfactory and timely execution of quality activities.Promote and communicate the Quality & Technical Services offerings throughout the organization Coach and mentor Quality & Technical Services project staff, providing regular communication to the team.Attend and participate in meetings, representing Quality & Technical Services on issues of Projects USA project requirements, program requirements, regulatory & industry standard compliance, client requirements and direct reports [or any other meetings as required by the client or URS Oil & Gas Management].Develop internal and external relationships to achieve a successful and cooperative working environment between all internal departments within URS Oil & Gas, Projects USA Management, external customers & jurisdicational Agenciesmunicate with URS Oil & Gas Management or Line Senior Management to establish, and execute Program priorities as they apply to the Divisional Strategy and Client Contract.Oversee completion and submission of documents, to ensure timely and accurate manner to the appropriate departments or projects (including but not limited to, timesheets and expense reports).Oversee Completion and submission of monthly documents to the appropriate departments (example: timesheets, Quality Service Report, expense reports) Review and communicate to Projects USA Management any required information from the internal document management system which pertains to current tasks, responsibilities and projects.
