Supervises, directs and develops a Billing Group collections team providing expertise, advice and support as needed and ensuring they are properly trained and motivated towards meeting department goals and objectives. Monitors and prioritizes the workflow and coordination of special projects. Monitors the collection team's follow-up activities of patient accounts ensuring appropriate internal controls, timeliness, accuracy and adherence to corporate and governmental policies. Maintains timely communciation with departmentstaff regarding problem accounts providing suggestions for resolution. Oversee, reviews and approves the monthly close process and all medical justification requests to ensure timely submission within the established ADR policy.
Education: Bachelors or Associates Degree preferred, High School Diploma required.Experience and Required Skills: 5 years healthcare billing or collections experience with Bachelors Degree or8 years healthcare billing or collections experience with Associates Degree or10 years healthcare billing or collections experience with High School Diploma.Working knowledge of Windows-based software applications (word, excel, etc.) Ability to analyze data Ability to coach and lead others and develop their knowledge and skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Working knowledge with AP/AR Good interpersonal skills and team oriented Relocation Possibility: Must be willing to relocate or commute to North Carolina
