Job Description Medical billing and coding specialists work with a team of health care professionals.
In home health, the specialist reviews nursing notes and notes regarding medical procedures that have been done as well as the time sheets and then submits claims to the appropriate insurance company.
This is the process followed in order for the agency to receive payments for services provided.
The agency contracts with Medicare, Medicaid, and other private insurances.
