The Small and Medium-sized Business (SMB) Marketing team in Bing is seeking a global marketing communications manager with strong experience partnering with engineering and/or product groups to support GTM activities for Bing Ads and Yahoo! Bing Network with the SMB segment. The Global Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing on the strategy for driving awareness and adoption Bing Ads features. The position will be responsible for GTM activities for new and existing products and features. Planning and executing internal comms to enable Sales, Service and Support teams and marketing channel owners to sell product enhancements to Bing Ads customers. The position will serve as the strategy and execution lead for internal and external communications to drive product awareness and adoption. Examples of deliverables will include – product adoption driving campaigns, service campaigns, sales collateral, one sheets, customer comms, slides, FAQs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Overseeing global SMB Marketing Communication to support GTM activities for Bing Ads product updates.
o Product update and feature release communications for a product on continuous release cadence.
o Be an expert on Bing Ads and competitive products and also on Bing Ads customer profiles to be able to map features to different customer segments.
o Create materials such as GTM Newsletter, presentation in team meetings, time zone calls to keep rest of marketing and other partners informed on product updates to enable them to leverage their channels for Bing Ads update promotion.
o Develop the strategy for global awareness and adoption of new features and work with rest of the global and regional SMB marketing, BG Marketing, Sales and Support partners to execute on that strategy.
o Partnership and coordination with engineering to get an understanding of product upgrade.
o Partnership and coordination with BG Marketing for value prop and messaging for each product update
o Partnership and coordination with BG Channel team on product priorities and adoption goals.
o Participation in Sales and Service team meetings and All Hands
o Participation in forums and v-teams that influence product quality and drive feature asks to engineering.
• Launching feature pilots and driving feature adoption:
o Coordination with engineering, BG, sales and support to launch pilots of key features. Includes developing pilot invitation communications such as emails, collaterals like one sheets, slides and FAQs to get customer participation and feedback on new features before those launch broadly to all customers.
o Develop strategy and execution to drive adoption of priority features. Channels may include – webinar, emails, social, web, events, sales team.
o Partnership with regional marketing managers to provide GTM resources for all markets.
Requirements:
• Minimum 6 years of experience with search marketing or online advertising (8+ preferred)
• BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university
• Minimum 3 years of Product Marketing and GTM experience required
• Strong analytical and insights development skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and manage changing and tight deadlines
• Experience strategizing, planning and implementing integrated marketing communications programs
• Strong project management skills across global teams
• Ability to drive results through multiple cross-group layers
• Strong reading/writing/speaking skills in English
• Vendor/agency and budget management experience
• Experience in working with localization vendors a plus
