A major international oil and gas operator
Leads technical activities of the selected conceptual engineering contractor ensuring deliverables are produced on schedule and to the content and quality expected. •Supervises the completion of all technical scopes of work, specifications, drawings and data sheets necessary for the EPC bid packages. •Assist in the coordination of all company and contract engineering activities. •Assist in the completion of all documentation related between contractors, vendors, operating company and the project team. •Supervises the completion of the commercial elements of the EPC bid packages being prepared by the Business Management Team including: Commercial T & C, bid forms, commercial input to the EPC Bid Evaluation Plan, etc. •Assist with the compilation, review and final close out of construction work packs, •Supervises the project execution planning. Seek out and apply best practices from other projects. Capture and share best practices and lessons learned from project planning and execution. •Assist with inspection and commissioning activities, ensuring all relevant documentation is available and included in final handover documentation to commissioning and start-up team •Advocate safety culture on all aspects of the project. •Integrates inherent safety in design and operability in concept development •Meet project and business safety metrics in line with Operational Excellence procedures and processes. •Leads a variety of conceptual engineering project management activities relating to the development of the resources, such as cost control, scheduling, project assurance activities and interfacing within Client. •Assists in the development of funding requests (internal Chevron and partners) •Apply CPDEP and Capital Stewardship principles to ensure decision quality and superior project execution. •Overseas VIP workshops, including Value Engineering, Process Simplification, Process Optimization and Design to Capacity. •Ensure compliance with related industry and company specifications and Company SOP guidelines •Assist in the preparation of progress meetings and reporting with core project team, operations, maintenance, local facility engineering and other stakeholders as necessary.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:BS preferred or equivalent experience BSc (UK)
10+ years (includes 5 years supervisory) +PE preferred and may be required by region
•Experience managing EPC contractors •Ability to work in multi-functional teams •Strong communication skills (presentation and technical writing)
