Description

As part of this team, you will be responsible for developing Build projects and tools to build and release Intel software projects (i.e., drivers, system software, software products, software services, etc.) through software development and scripting. This would include working directly with the product development teams to communicate and apply SCM(software configuration management) core practices, executing product build and release functions, participating in software project planning activities, and assisting with the development of future build and release system capabilities.

Example job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
+ coding of PERL scripts, Microsoft SharePoint automation and SQL Server procedures, views and queries.
+ Supporting Metrics production and analysis by multiple teams through an automated process
+ SW Build and Release Management; includes build system automation, nightly builds, build replication and release process management
+ Delivering technical support and direction to development teams, aiding optimization of existing SCM system(s) and processes. Support includes monitoring of help desk requests to resolve developer issues regarding supported tools and processes.
+ Influencing and implementing change control processes and procedures, including creation and maintenance of documentation on processes as implemented.
+ Providing SCM Administration to Development teams with emphasis on version control in a multi-sited, cross platform Development environment
Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal
+ Must have ability to work in a team environment
+ Must have good problem solving abilities
+ Must have ability to work in a high pressure environment
+ Must be self motivated and proactive in proposing improvements and solutions in (but not limited to) automation.
+ Must be able to progress tasks independently
+ Must have strong self-learning capabilities

Qualifications

You must have at least a Master of Science degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with a minimum of 2-3 years of product software development experience; or alternatively a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of product software development experience; or you must have at least 5-6 years of related industry experience directly in Scripting, Automation and preferably SCM (software Configuration Management) practices.

Minimum Requirements:
3 + years of experience in PERL coding
3 + years of experience in writing and debugging perl Scripts, BAT scripts
3+ years of experience with linux OS and Gitosis.

Preferred Requirements:
Must have experience with ClearCase or UCM as a software version control system
Must have experience applying SCM core practices and have demonstrated understanding of each practice
Familiarity with IBM Rational Build Forge and/or ClearQuest tool suites a plus
Familiarity with scripting languages such as VBScript, JavaScript preferred
Familiarity with Android is an advantage.
