The principal tasks will involve:
Provide Quality Engineering support to new product introduction programmes and on-going support through product life
Ensure working procedures are fully compliant with all relevant customer and certification standard requirements
Interface with the customer quality function and provide any necessary audit response
Troubleshoot quality issues, carry out root cause analysis and help implement appropriate corrective measures
Support First Article Inspection activities
Process concessions and ensure that these are formally closed out
Carry out internal audits and ensure processes remain compliant.
Provide assistance to the Quality Manager in the development and maintenance of the Company Quality Management System
Conduct supplier quality audits as necessary in support of the purchasing function
We are looking for candidates who have previously worked within the aerospace industry and be familiar with ISO9001 and AS9100 requirements.
Experience in First Article Inspection requirements, including measurement utilising hand equipment and cmm. Good understanding of precision machining and processes, drawing practices, calibration, certification standards, metrology
Gauge R&R and SPC experience
Understanding of quality management tools (eg. 6 sigma, Pareto, Kaizen, 5Ys, 8Ds etc)
Proven experience in a flight hardware manufacturing environment would be a distinct advantage
