Verification & Validation Engineering
Your Responsibilities:
This is a position for a full-time Verification & Validation Engineering (V&V Engineering) testing position. The primary responsibilities include providing leadership while serving as a Verification or Validation Lead on state-of-the-art imaging systems in a cross-functional team environment. Other primary responsibilities include authoring test plans, test protocols, development & execution oversight of test schedules, providing regular formal status updates & authoring reports.
Technical responsibilities include:
- Support executing system level test protocols using good documentation practices in a FDA regulated environment
- Adherence to internal quality system processes a must
- System level testing of both software, hardware, & documentation (this may include loading proprietary software, system calibration, networking, & image data transfer)
- Troubleshooting system issues and entering problem reports in the defect tracking system
- System clinical use and workflow testing
- Processing of raw images & image review analysis to evaluate results and image quality of SPECT, PET, & CT data
- Providing engineering test support during various development phases
- Administrative responsibilities include:
- Knowledge of the test development process (practical experience preferred)
- Writing, coordinating reviews, & final signoff of testing documentation including test plans, test protocols, & test reports
- Active project team member--will represent V&V Engineering on the project team
- Develop and maintain V&V Engineering project schedules
- Some clinical site visits for final field evaluation of the camera systems
- Experienced V&V Engineers will serve as verification and/or validation test leads and will coordinate testing activities of the assigned verification and/or validation resources
Familiarity with the following:
- Defect tracking (e.g. ClearQuest)
- Requirements tools (e.g. Doors)
- Electronic testing (e.g. Quality Center, Quality Manager)
- Automated testing
- Virtualization
- IRB
- CMMI
- DICOM
- Understanding Medical regulations (e.g. FDA 21CFR Part 820, MDD, etc.)
Your Profile:
The ideal candidate will be familiar with the Philips Nuclear Medicine SPECT, PET, & CT imaging products (e.g. BrightView XCT) as well as the workstations that support them (e.g. EBW NM).
Qualifications:
- Degree in Bio-Medical Engineering, Computer Science, or Medical Imaging preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft XP & Office (Word, Excel, Project, etc.)
- Some SUN Solaris knowledge
- Strong written, oral, & interpersonal skills
- Ability to work and contribute in a team environment
- General troubleshooting & problem solving skills
- Analytical skills a plus
- Programming & scripting knowledge a plus
- Ability to travel – less than 20%
