Location: Houston, TX - Galleria area
Galleria company with strong International ties seeking Medical Billing Coordinator to help facilitate and process high volume and high dollar medical claims.
Receive provider bills for medical services rendered to patients
Review and verify information on bills
Registers bills in Quick Books
Scans bills in electronic computer database
Files bills in physical patient files
Requests medical records as needed
Handle billing disputes with providers
Provide administrative support within the office including faxing, filing, answering phones, scanning
Professional Requirements
Previous professional experience in a medical environment, such as physician office or hospital
General knowledge of medicine and familiarity with medical terminology
General knowledge of coding and billing procedures within the medical field
Fluent in written and verbal Spanish (professional level, not casual)
Moderate to high computer literacy; must know Quick Books and MS Office
Professional level of verbal and written communication
Highly organized and attentive to detail
Can work well under pressure and can adjust to varying levels of work load
Is comfortable in quiet work environment with small amount of coworkers
Salary $14-16.50/hour
