In this challenging and immeasurably rewarding role, you will work as a liaison to the patient assistance and reimbursement support services offered by our clients.
While your primary responsibility will be to assist with reimbursement issue resolution, the Medical Billing Consultant will also educate physician office staff on the use of our clients patient assistance and Lash Group reimbursement support services, including web based provider programs.To be successful in this position, you must be thoroughly familiar with standard Medicare and Medicaid practices and regulations.
You must also have ample technical knowledge regarding healthcare reimbursement from a patient and provider perspective.
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who possesses the aforementioned knowledge, is capable of dedicated travel 3-4 nights per week, and is ready to join a dynamic and tenacious team of Xcenda professionals!Job Responsibilities As a Medical Billing Consultant for Xcenda, you will coordinate with our clients patient support services program representatives providing information on relevant reimbursement topics related to our clients products.
Additional responsibilities for the Medical Billing Consultant include: Reviewing patient insurance benefit options Validating prior authorization requirements Identifying alternate funding/financial assistance programs Reviewing appropriate billing and coding for products Job Requirements: As a Medical Billing Consultant, Xcenda expects you to maintain a high level professionalism at all times effectively and efficiently interacting with physicians and their staff when necessary.
You must also be able to work independently or as part of team, demonstrating excellent organizational project management skills.
Additional requirements of the Medical Billing Consultant include: Bachelors degree; Advanced degree or specific practice management experience, preferred Minimum 5 years of experience in the Public or Private Third-part Reimbursement arena or Pharmaceutical industry in Sales, Managed Care, or Clinical Support Knowledge of miscellaneous J-codes, billing, coding and/or appeals processes Proficient knowledge of private payer, Medicare and Medicaid structure, systems, and reimbursement processes Living within a 45 minute drive of a major airport Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Power Point, Excel & Word Benefits: At Xcenda, we recognize and appreciate all of the hard work and dedication our team members contribute to meeting our customers critical needs.
