Lease/Contracts Analyst - USA

The Company:
Our client is a large oil and gas company.

The Role:
ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
* Analyze and verify domestic and global lease, license and contract provisions to identify financial and operational obligations to be captured in core systems.
* Setup new domestic and global lease, license and contract terms and make appropriate revisions in Tobin Land System and know how to obtain related information from division order records in SAP.
* Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external business partners and owners to obtain needed information and/or documents or to convey information for use by the recipient.
* Assist in verification of payment and obligation calendars of all types and coordinate the establishment of shut-in and minimum payment obligations as required by circumstance and provisions.
* Be knowledgeable in the process of drilling, production, plugging, and other activities that may call into play provisions of the various instruments maintained by Land Administration - Leases.
* Be familiar with the formats of various legal descriptions so as to analyze mapping information and interact successfully with the department's GIS mapping organization.
* Understand internal document management process to ensure correspondence, instruments, records, and all other data are filed appropriately for retrieval and analysis.
* Be aligned to company needs to monitor and measure business activities and to continuously improve our business processes.
* Conduct all business activities according to Company policies including business ethics, Company application of Sarbanes-Oxley legislation, and all system/process security restrictions.
* Be familiar with applicable federal and state regulations as to leases.
* Willing to become actively involved in all other facets of Land Administration work including understanding and developing division order data, business associate setup/changes, and the interfaces of our core business with others within the company.
* Be actively involved in professional organizations related to the industry.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE:
* Minimum of 5-8 years of oil and gas experience preferably in land, land administration, division order, or land development.
* Experience with a broad range of computer applications
* Experience in a general range of upstream oil and gas business activities.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
* Bachelor's Degree preferable or commensurate experience - Law, Petroleum Land Management, or designation as a Certified or Registered Petroleum Landman, Certified Lease Title Analyst , any of which is a plus.
