General Responsibilities:
» Supports the regular and reliable operations of the Information Technology infrastructure.
» Monitor the server and mainframe infrastructure and respond to alert.
» Performs 1st level problem resolution.
» Escalate complex problems to the appropriate contact.
» Monitor the status of problem resolution.
» Provide documentation/reports for infrastructure related events.
» Determine (or assists in determining) and implement necessary changes to the IT infrastructure.
» Execute daily responsibilities in support of external groups (rebooting servers, creating print queues, setting up DHCP scopes, TCP/IP address reservations, etc.)
» Participate on project teams that pertain to the Enterprise Data Center.
Required Skills:
» 3-5 years experience work in a computer data center environment.
» Strong knowledge of Windows and Mainframe operating systems.
» Strong written and verbal communication skills.
» Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
» Ability to analyze, resolves, and document problems and resolutions.
» Ability to learn quickly and follow written procedures.
» Understand network concepts which include TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
» Proficient in the Microsoft Office Tool set.
» A breadth of knowledge related to IT operations infrastructure.
Desired Skills:
» Four year degree in IT related field.
» Working knowledge of CA7, Zeke, or CA Workload Automation (dSeries) batch scheduling systems, UNIX Max.
