Job ID: 2606 Position Description: Medical Billing Coder Responsibilities of this position include: Analyzing, abstracting and converting information from inpatient medical records into ICD_9CM and CPT-4 codes Assigning DRG classifications for appropriate hospital reimbursementIf you possess the following, please apply: High School diploma or equivalent required Courses in ICD-9CM and CPT-4, medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and the clinical disease process are required A minimum of two years inpatient coding/DRG experience using IDC-9CM and CPT-4 required Ability to pass Einsteins coding examination required RHIT, RHIA or undergraduate degree preferred Familiarity with the multiple computer systems used in the HIM Department Good analytical and problem solving skills Personal Computer basic skills preferred CCS/CCS-P preferred Experience Required: 1 - 3 Years
