Interface Engineer - USA

Support AIR Manager managing interfaces between project disciplines as well as with key stakeholders including shareholders, governmental bodies, and ALNG operations.

Deploy Interface Management process by maintaining the project interface register to record interface agreements and track interface action items through close out.

Facilitate interface coordination meetings for the project team to address interface issues, gain alignment on interface decisions and resolve interface issues in a timely manner to avoid impacting the project schedule and budget.

Coordinate with the project discipline leads to ensure interface information and data get transferred efficiently between interfacing parties.

Coordinate interface management activities with key stakeholders for facilities design, including operations, logistics, contracts and supply chain management, D&C and Subsurface.

Provide support for the Project Management of Change process and manage its integration with interface issues.

Provide support for the Project Decision Making Process to help progress framing, analysis and closeout.

Participate in activities to maintain and deploy the overall Project Execution Plan.

Seek out and apply best practices and lessons learned.

This position provides broad exposure to the technical, commercial, and strategic aspects of concept selection, concept definition and execution in a technically diverse project.

The Interface Coordinator will be based in Houston, but may require occasional travel, domestic and international, including Angola.

Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment. Good verbal and written communications skills required. Demonstrated ability to maintain positive working relationships with several stakeholders simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with and facilitate collaboration among cross functional disciplines within the project team as well as contractors, tech support groups, and customers (e.g. operations) outside the project team. Ability to proactively manage advanced tasks and processes, assume ownership and accountability. Project execution experience with large projects in green and brown field work. Experience desired in offshore capital projects in the design, procurement, fabrication, transportation, installation and drilling functions. Experience with engineering with EPC contractors. Experience in the use of interface tools. Experience in the management of interface activities with key stakeholders in the facilities design, construction and installation. Along with interface experience with the engineering groups and project management, need experience with operations, logistics, supply chain management and D&C. Understanding of project interface processes and procedures and a general understanding of the interface needs for all the project functional groups. Broad knowledge of upstream oil & gas field development and operations, with fundamental knowledge of design, procurement, fabrication, and construction standards.

Must champion safety performance of the project team including the contractors' work force. Must understand and commit to the principles of the IIF culture and the Operational Excellence (OE) Management System.
