The Package & Scripting Specialist is responsible for the creation and management of client systems application packaging, Scripting, and supporting the vision of the organization by acting as an integral part of the Desktop Engineering team. The Package & Scripting Specialist will contribute as a key member for client related projects and build strong relationships within the business to ensure success. This individual will exhibit cross-functional teaming skills to gain an understanding of duties performed in other areas of the Desktop Engineering team.
REQUIREMENTS:
Degree or qualification in an IT related discipline or equivalent technical and business experience Project management experience with a strong focus on delivery IT managerial experience; with specific experience in Desktop Engineering processes and managing remote team members Must have solid background in application packaging and Scripting packaging tools AdminStudio 10.0 or higher, Visual Basic, and PowerShell Must have solid background in application virtualization and sequencing with tools such as VMWare ThinApp Experience and understanding of application virtualization Technical experience and understanding of client productivity tools, including, but not limited to, security, anti-virus, image and patch management Good understanding of managing and monitoring Service Level Agreements with customers and suppliers Excellent customer service, problem solving and conflict resolution skills Proven team player with outstanding interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills Experience of cross functional working and cultural sensitivity Ability to manage multiple issues at once with exceptional follow through ITIL Foundation certification Experience with Microsoft products, including, but not limited to, SCCM, Office, Project, Internet Explorer and Visio Keeps informed of latest trends, developments, and best and current practices in particular field Builds customer confidence, committed to increasing customer satisfaction, sets achievable customer expectations, assumes responsibility for solving customer problems, ensures commitments to customers are met (both external and internal customers) Uses first-hand customer feedback for improvements in products and services Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect 15% travel required
