The George Mason University, School of Law, Admissions Office seeks an energetic and organized Admissions Receptionist for its team.
Responsibilities:
The Admissions Receptionist greets and responds to general phone, e-mail and in-person questions of prospective and admitted students and their families. This position is familiar with the Law School’s admission requirements, curriculum, and miscellaneous factual data (including but not limited to: faculty/student ratio, costs of attendance, admissions and enrollment statistics, bar passage, residency requirements, and career placement data); and directs and distributes inquiries to appropriate faculty and staff.
Additionally, the incumbent is trained on the Law School electronic application system and has primary responsibility for processing all Law School applications. The Admissions Receptionist promotes completion of all applications, and may assist in the planning and implementation of open house, orientation, and other Admissions Office events when time permits.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Superior word processing skills are further required. Fundamental understanding of MS Excel and customer service experience are preferred competencies.
