ROI (Release of Information) Clerk job - Specialists Hospital Shreveport - Shreveport, LA

Summary: This position is responsible for completing request for release of information within seven days of request arriving to Hospital. All requests must be entered into CPSI release of information tool.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Experience working with Medical Records

Understanding of HIPAA laws

Ability to process requests for medical records

Experience working within a medical/healthcare environment

Must have excellent technology skills

Must have experience handling a high stress, high volume position

Customer service oriented

Provide Clerical Support complete request for release of information. Log request and place scanned copy of request in patients chart.

This position will also be responsible for scanning medical records into EMR and reviewing chart to ensure that all documents are of good readable quality.

Attends required in-service and professional development programs. Seeks knowledge to improve processes and share this knowledge with others. ROI Clerk uses all physical and human resources responsibly.

Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED.

One year of experience.

Strong computer skills required.

Experience with HealthPort preferred

Required experience:
