Though contested by other program departments, the LAC team is clearly the best at PSI. LAC is known as the “innovation lab,” a place where exciting new ideas in global health are tested. Currently, we have programs operating in Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica, Belize, Panama, the Caribbean, Haiti, and Paraguay. Most of our network members engage in social marketing of health products that are self-sustainable and we have social franchises in Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras and the Dominican Republic with the goal of making them sustainable.
We are looking for an Assistant Program Managerto help us provide support to PSI’s social marketing programs in the Latin America and Caribbean region. We are looking for someone with strong business and analytical abilities (especially with numbers) and the belief that “the devil is in details”. An ideal candidate has worked in the private sector with focus on start-up projects or social businesses. Experience with marketing, particularly around new product development, testing, and implementation as well as working on and leading marketing technical support is a plus.
