1. Help employees to achieve their established expectations in all areas
2. Train, develop, and evaluate employees so they can reach their full potential
3. Promote the use of systems and tools such as standard work, Q-specs, SOP’s, measurables, etc
4. Analyze and resolve personnel conflicts. Assist employees to resolve conflict
5. Monitor and satisfy daily labor requirements
6. Maintain excellent communication and teamwork with quality, safety, maintenance, and other
service departments
7. Maintain production and personnel records
8. Promote and support continuous improvement initiatives
9. Must be flexible with schedule in order to accommodate off shift meeting attendance
10. Build relationships and work together with Area Leader and other Group Leaders to resolve shift and department issues
1. The successful applicant should have good leadership, organizational, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, and team skills
2. Associates degree, or four years experience, or combination of education and experience
3. Positive attitude and the ability to deal effectively with all people
4. Must be willing to develop skills through Sauder offered management training
5. Must be willing to change, and support change, at the pace of the company. Must be willing to implement lean initiatives within the company
6. Ability to work effectively with computer software (such as SAP, Time and Attendance and Microsoft applications)
