Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. is seeking Service Desk Specialists to assist our Chico IS Team in performing technical work associated with supporting and maintaining desktop computer systems, networking and other related equipment, including software applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for PC hardware support and maintenance issues, including installation, setup, diagnostics, troubleshooting and repair of desktop computers and related equipment.
- Responsible for day-to-day desktop computer application support issues, including installation, setup, printing issues, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- Supports users by providing technical assistance for hardware/software troubleshooting, including training.
- Cleans computer hardware parts and machine interiors in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
- Installs, maintains and upgrades all workstations.
- Responsible for installation of CD-ROMS, network adapters, sound devices, hard drives, printers, scanners and software associated to the workstation.
- Maintains inventory database on computer hardware and software.
QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems including Windows XP, Vista and 7.
- Ability to understand and diagnose network protocols, TCP-IP and network adapter functions in a Microsoft client/server environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
- Ability to multi-task and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to investigate, identify and solve problems quickly and efficiently.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to prepare and present comprehensive and concise written reports.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Previous experience in a service desk related position is highly desired.
- Qualified candidates must be able to lift 35 pounds safely and with proper body mechanics.
Additional REQUIREMENTS to consider before applying:
- The successful candidate must have a valid driver’s license free of any major violations in the last three years.
