Catholic Relief Services considers all applicants on the basis of merit without regard to race, national origin, religious beliefs, gender, age, marital status or physical or mental disability.**Job Summary: The focus of the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) function at CRS is to apply sophisticated data mining and business analytics to human resources (HR) data by ensuring data accuracy, creating efficiencies and providing insights for decision makers to reach Agency goals.**
Duties and responsibilities:
Reporting and Analytics
- Performs as a subject matter expert on all Key HR Reporting Systems.
- Develops, maintains and supports a variety of reporting tools and reports. Ensure compliance to CRS, HR and Government reporting quality standards.
- Investigate creative methods for improving data collection, and analysis, identify missing information that should be captured. Understand and reconcile gaps, redundancies and contradictions among and within reports and tools.
- Write and maintain a variety of reports (KPI) or queries for modeling and predictive capabilities based on ROI and Agency goals/strategic objectives. Which are published ready with modern practices of visual and written display of information.
HRIS System Processes
·Maintain and manage HRIS system tables and data entry for accuracy and integrity through regular system of checks.
- Review, test and implement HRIS system upgrades or patches.
- Oversee HRIS Assistant’s work with Payroll during semi-monthly pay cycle and uploads of occasional special earnings data.
- With support of HRIS Assistant, handle inquiries and data or system issues in a timely manner by thoroughly researching issues, determining the action needed and providing/executing appropriate solutions.
- Document system-related business processes and work flow.
- Supervise HRIS Assistant.

Professional Qualifications:
- BS in Human Resources, Business, Economics, Finance or math related field.
- Three or more years of Human Resources experience or Business analysis.
- Strong project management experience
- Proficiency in statistics and modeling, advanced knowledge of Microsoft office products
- Experience consulting/collaborating and presenting to various stakeholders, or leaders
- Comfort in polyglot approach to data storage, including various interfaces with graph, relationship and document databases
Skills, Abilities and Knowledge:
- Functional knowledge of business/HR processes
- Proven analyst and problem solver, can take questions and translate information with is applicable and compelling to stakeholders.
- Strong organization skills with ability to handle multiple priorities
- Ability to demonstrate close attention to detail
- Self-starter, desire to learn
- Excited to work with data and software code.
- Has a flair for visual design and technology
- Collaborative team player
Physical Requirements/Environment: Normal conditions similar to an office environment, based in Baltimore at CRS’ headquarters; willingness and ability to travel overseas.
