The Associate Technical Director is a senior level role within the team which is developing system level solutions integrating hardware and software. The leader will be expected to manage engineering teams across multiple sites including off-shore locations.
This individual will be expected to plan software projects collaborating with the Architecture and Product Marketing groups, manage engineering execution and team up with the program management team to ensure successful on-time execution of engineering projects on budget. From time to time, the leader will need to interact with key customers in matters of software programs and/or future direction.
This person will also use his/her creative talents and software knowledge to showcase technical leadership of products and capabilities developed by the team.
- Enable ease-of-use and quick adaptation of our software development kit by customers
- Improve customer evaluation experience and demonstrate performance benefits of our products
- Design competitive performance optimization and benchmarking tools.
- Engage partners, ISV and other third parties to develop and deploy solutions.
- Be engaged in pre-sales technical support and support customers through applications and product support activities post-sale.
- Develop software applications for OEMs to leverage for their own unique solutions
- Standardize software development processes to improve quality and efficiency.
Skills and Experience
- 12+ year experience in the software of in HPC, Hyperscale, Telecom, Storage and Enterprise market segments is essential
- Good understanding of application workloads in HPC, Hyperscale, Telecom, Storage and Enterprise is required
- A B.S. / M.S. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated success in managing global multi-site teams.
- A track record of successful product delivery under tight deadlines.
- Must have technically deep knowledge in computer architecture, embedded software, drivers, real-time operating systems and Linux
- Experience in planning complex software projects is a must-have.
- Effective communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and strong people management skills, including recruiting, retention, mentorship and employee development.
