is currently looking to hire for the role of
Production Technician
at our
Harbor Beach, MI
location. The Production Technician performs a wide variety of routine and non-routine plant and production duties including monitoring process control systems and doing minor maintenance on equipment. This is a 24 hour operation and will require the ability to work 12 hour shifts during the day and at night on a rotating basis.
Responsibilities:
- Works with other operations technicians to accomplish daily activities, projects and assigned tasks.
- Assists with training of others as required.
- Must be able to work safely and follow all Company environmental, health, and safety requirements.
- Observes, records and maintains data in appropriate formats to ensure operations process is maintained within standard guidelines.
- Operates and checks process equipment, monitors process conditions, equipment, and control systems.
- Uses trouble shooting skills to resolve process related deviations and problems.
- Uses process knowledge and skills to make improvements.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
On March 27, 2015, The Dow Chemical Company and Olin Corporation announced a definitive agreement under which Dow will separate its U.S. Gulf Coast Chlor-Alkali and Vinyl, Global Chlorinated Organics and
Global Epoxy businesses and merge that new entity with Olin. This job posting is to fill an open role within one of the three businesses that will be separated from Dow when the transaction with Olin closes, which is expected by year-end 2015.
Any role associated with these businesses that is filled by Dow prior to close of the transaction will most likely transfer to Olin at close.

Qualifications
Preferred qualifications:
- 2 or more years mechanical experience
- 2 or more years manufacturing experience
Education:
- High School Dimploma/GED
- Associates degree preferred
