Operational administration support, for benefits & compensation programs globally.
Benefits 45%
- Administer health, welfare, retirement, and fringe programs and plans including day to day operations. Participate in cyclical project work (e.g. Open Enrollment, renewal support, communication campaigns, etc.)
- Assist the Benefits Manager with activities required to ensure compliance with all pertinent federal and local regulations, filing and compliance requirements affecting employee benefit programs including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, PPACA, FMLA, Section 125, FLSA, Workers Compensation, Medicare, Social Security and DOL requirements.
- Prepare and update benefit and compensation communication materials such as announcements, newsletter articles, administrative procedures, forms, reports, intranet, and other communication pieces and vehicles.
- Identify, develop and implement process improvement solutions for benefit administration.
- Audit and reconcile invoices. Participate in total rewards and benefit surveys.
Compensation 45%
- Administer company compensation programs.
- Participate in total rewards and compensation surveys, evaluate and analyze salary data.
- Coordinate with and advise managers in preparing job descriptions.
- Maintain job description inventory and conduct regular updates of job families.
- Evaluate jobs and ensure properly classified for regulatory statutes globally, within US to include FLSA and EEO requirements.
Assist with the tactical components of the performance review/merit process.
General 10%
- Partner interdepartmentally (e.g. HRIS, Payroll, etc.) to integrate and streamline crossover functions.
- Maintain strict confidentiality when communicating or handling employee private information.
- Must have the flexibility to work hours to meet global client base and more than 40 hours per week should business needs warrant longer hours.
The high paced, high demand environment and dual reporting structure of this position requires flexibility, superb organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and maintain judgement, composure and customer service.
- Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of relevant work experience. Masters with 2 years’ experience.
- 2-4 years of Benefits/Compensation experience and understanding and exposure to HR Systems. Preference for focused past experience in either a benefits and/or compensation administration role.
Knowledge and Skills
- Working knowledge of principles and practices in all human resources disciplines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to take technical information and communicate/educate programs and plans to employees at all levels in everyday language.
- Intermediate knowledge of spreadsheet and database applications, data query tools, word processing software, electronic mail and internet search tools.

- Proven ability to demonstrate good analytical, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Communicate clearly with broad range of employees in a calm, professional, and polite manner.
- Good judgement, sense of urgency, initiative and customer service.
- Ability to make sound judgments concerning the interpretation of Plans, company policies, procedures and customer service matters.
- Strong analysis and process orientation skills required.
- Must be able to discover/anticipate problems that may arise in administrative practices, contracts and policies and take pro-active initiative.
- Must be detailed oriented – with strong attention to accuracy and problem solving. Requires skills to follow up, resolve and close all issues.
- Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Web etc.)
Physical Demands
- Travel requirements.
- Keyboard use, pulling drawers, lifting papers <10 lbs.
