The Ticket Office Manager oversees day-to-day operations. This position serves as assistant to the Director of Ticketing Services and may be designated to perform the duties of that position in his/her absence. Coordinate computerized ticket sales, process mail and telephone orders, train and direct cashiers, prepare fact sheets, and deal with problems and unusual situations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the Ticket Office for ticketed performances. Work closely with front of house, tech, maintenance and security staff to ensure successful event experience for patrons. Liaise with resident companies, promoters, artist management and other presenters as needed to issue tickets, ensure adherence to ticketing plan, and solve problems that arise. Assist staff with questions about events, pricing, and offers; ensure excellent customer service; troubleshoot software or hardware glitches; and handle challenging situations.
- Supervise Ticket Office staff. Generate and manage work schedules and assist in developing written policies and procedures. Supplement the supervisory activities of the Dir. Ticketing Services (often during extended hours) as appropriate. Prepare event guides for each event for which tickets are sold. Update cashiers on new shows, special coupon offers, etc.
- Assist the Dir. Ticketing Services and Group Sales Manager with tasks such as monitoring and maintaining Ticket Office customer service, fulfilling subscription orders and assisting in the management of the subscription order process, monitoring and assisting with group sales, facilitating resolution of customer inquiries and issues, developing and maintaining information systems and other tasks to ensure high quality operations.
- Work with resident companies and Overture consortium members to facilitate their successful use of Tessitura and maintain necessary records. Oversee and process resident exchanges and other transactions.
- Oversee financial transactions. Complete daily batch reconciliation at closing and prepare batch report accounting for cash and checks received. May handle patron services and development cash deposits, write settlement checks, and prepare cash advances according to artist contracts.
- Work with presenters and promoters to prepare and distribute night of show ticket reports and to coordinate complimentary tickets, fan club tickets, VIP experiences and other special needs.
- Perform related work as required with an emphasis on sales (up-selling, cross-selling, donations, and subscription sales).
