Plant Maintenance Electrician for our new facility located in Vancouver, WA at the Port of Vancouver.
Major Duties:
This Industrial Plant Electrician will be responsible for the safe installation, removal, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing of all equipment and facilities electrical systems based on the highest safety, quality standards and best practices in the steel service industry. This will include high and low voltage circuits, overhead cranes, automated systems, drives, relays, breakers and some programming of electronic equipment or systems.
Under general supervision, perform journey-level work in the design, installation, construction, modification, repair and maintenance of electrical apparatuses, equipment and systems; Travel required. Eight (8) hours/day, Midnight shift, potential for staggered starts due to breakdowns or out of town trips with the Maintenance Team. Weekend work and or Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday through Thursday could occur including being on call.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED; Washington Plant Electrician’s license and 10 yrs. of responsible industrial maintenance experience. Washington drivers’ license.
Must be able to follow repair manuals, blue prints, and diagrams, to make appropriate repairs, must be able to follow oral and written instructions, and must be able to work in a team environment as well as solo. Must be able to work at heights (such as overhead cranes). Must be able to see and hear with or without correction.
