The Commercial Communications team is looking for a PR manager to drive the communications agenda for Cloud + Enterprise and Developer business.   In this role you will have the unique opportunity to create and execute a communications strategy for Microsoft’s global datacenter portfolio that positively shifts the perceptions of consumers, technologists, business audiences and policy makers.

In this role you will:

Create and execute a communications strategy for Microsoft’s global datacenter portfolio, including:

End to end announce strategy from ground breaking to deprecation of physical datacenter facilities

End to end announce strategy for regional commercial cloud service announcements (Office 365, Azure and Dynamics)

Partnering with consumer cloud service teams on regional service announcements

Provide subject matter expertise and counsel on all Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure Organization related communications issues.

Partner with engineering, marketing and field teams on datacenter communication planning and execution

Develop and maintain content, messaging and positioning guidance in support of our global datacenter portfolio and the Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure Organization

Partner with and manage external agency resources

Skills and Experiences we are looking for:

Undergraduate Degree in Communications, Marketing or Information

Technology

5-6 years of PR and marketing communications experience

Broad marketing, digital marketing or communications program design experience preferred

Experience with cloud services, datacenters, datacenter communications and/or issues management for information technology companies

Experience marketing to IT, developer, business or start-up audiences

Additional experience in field, sales or technical roles is a plus

Excellent communications, writing and project management skills

Integrated marketing, messaging and positioning proficiency.

Candidates should have a proven track record of cross-group collaboration, the ability to influence corporate and field teams at multiple levels of the organization, and business maturity.

About #Showyourselfie:

Showyourselfie, a campaign by the United Nations Population Fund and Global Poverty Project, is a visual petition to ensure that the rights and needs of adolescents and youth (age 10 - 24) are strongly included in the Post-2015 Development Agenda.

The campaign is mobilizing young people around the world to submit their selfie as a personal signature and demonstrate visible support for youth. #Showyourselfie will present the largest ever visual handover to Member States at the UN General Assembly in September 2015 and call for bigger and better investment in young people's rights and needs at the national and global level.

Responsibilities

The Campaign Manager for #Showyourselfie will be responsible for driving a global partnership, marketing and social media driven campaign to ensure that the rights and needs of adolescents and youth are at the center of the Post-2015 development agenda. The campaign, launched in August 2014, on International Youth Day, aims to develop the largest ever visual petition to hand over to world leaders at the UN General Assembly in September 2015. The visual petition aims to ensure that governments will adequately invest in the rights and needs of young people. The Campaign Manager will be responsible for driving all elements of the campaign including high-level partner engagement, strategic activation, marketing and media.

This is a full-time 10-month position starting in January 2015 and ending in October 2015. The role will be based at the UNFPA headquarters in New York City, with 2 days being spent at the Global Poverty Project headquarters.

  Architect and land demand generation programs in partnership with the Go-to-market team, including email, social and paid media

  Pilot new, innovative ways to leverage online channels to deliver learning content, especially for non-traditional Microsoft audiences (students, startups, competitive)

  Provide regular and timely reporting on key performance indicators/ metrics to LT and field, along with implications and insights based on the data, compete landscape, and overall market trend.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have the ability to think strategically about the business, and drive effective cross group collaboration across multiple key stakeholders. A minimum of 5 years of IT industry experience with a proven track record of successfully leading global or subsidiary-wide marketing campaigns and programs with tangible results. Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer/information science, business or equivalent, MBA preferred. A B.A in Communications or B.S. degree in Computer Science or similar field is preferred. Experience authoring or managing content for IT or security professionals is a plus. The Opportunity

Work in a team environment at one of our US global escalation sites to enable Lync engineers and architects to maximize the usefulness or our products, including Lync and Office Communications Server and their integration into PBX systems, VoIP solutions, Microsoft Exchange Unified Messaging and video conferencing solutions.   Our product support teams are structured by product category, so that every customer has access to highly focused assistance and expertise. Support Escalation Engineers may also be required to support the Cloud offering equivalents of Lync and Exchange UM and work with several peer support groups and the appropriate backend operations teams to assist in resolving complex customer issues.

Those who work in the Unified Communications organization are passionate about technology and helping others. They must be highly observant and skilled in detection in order to resolve issues. This requires empathy, outstanding logic skills, the ability to think differently than the crowd, and a genuine desire to help people do their best. Successful candidates should also be able to manage a diverse number of work items from different customers and be able to prioritize and multitask effectively throughout the working day.   Some on-call and weekend or late night shift responsibilities may be required on occasion.

Product support offers many opportunities for specialization and advancement, and support engineers receive world-class training in order to stay on top of emerging technologies. Responsibilities:

Represent Microsoft and communicate with corporate customers via telephone, written correspondence, or electronic service regarding technically complex escalated problems identified in Microsoft software products, and manage relationships with those customers.   Frequently, these problems will not only be technically complex, but will be politically charged situations requiring the highest level of customer focus skills.

Ø Receive escalated, technically complex mission critical or politically hot customer issues, and maintain ownership of issue until resolved completely.

Ø Solve highly complex level of escalated problems, involving broad, in-depth product knowledge or in-depth product specialty.

Ø Acquire & coordinate resources from other product support groups as needed to resolve complex, multi-product customer issues.

Ø Represent Microsoft professionally during occasional customer facing on-site engagements.

Ø Act as technical lead, mentor, and role model on a team of engineers; provide direction to others, review solutions and articles, etc. Mentor new Support Engineers.

Ø Develop and deliver technical training to other engineers.

Ø Maintain strong working knowledge of pre-release products and take ownership for product improvement in key product areas.

Ø Report software bugs and customer suggestions.

Ø Write complex technical articles, sample scripts and diagnostic rules to improve engineer and customer product knowledge and supportability.

Ø Assist with selection of new team members.

Ø May act as technical focal point in cooperative relationships with other companies.

Qualifications:

Required:

Ø Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems development, network operations, software support or I.T. consulting.

Ø Solid understanding of client/server, networking, and Internet technologies fundamentals.

Ø Previous experience deploying, administrating and/or supporting an enterprise instant messaging, real time communications solution or enterprise messaging solution such as OCS/Lync, Jabber, Exchange, or Cisco WebEX.

Ø Alternatively, a candidate with in-depth hands on experience in the deployment and management of Lync or OCS into an existing PBX/iPBX/VoIP environment or the deployment and management of a non-Microsoft VoIP solution such as Cisco Call Manager, Siemens OpenScape, and IBM Sametime will be considered.

Ø   Ability to analyze and interpret data captures and trace logs to resolve customer issues in production environments specific to authentication, network connectivity, messaging, SIP or VoIP and Unified Communications.

Ø Strong Network and/or VoIP experience with underlying technologies such as Routing & Switching Protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, QoS, SIP, VLANs, and WAN protocols and technologies.

Ø Initiative to develop expertise on new technologies beyond the provided classroom training.

Ø Candidates with strong and lengthy experience in supporting complex, enterprise networking products and networking operating systems (preferably Windows Server but not limited to) for 3 years or more will be considered even when the above qualifications may not all be present.

Ø Candidates must also have strong customer service, accurate and logical problem solving, communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.

Ø Full Microsoft certifications for the products we support is required within one year of employment.

Recommended:

Ø Strong knowledge of VoIP, PSTN converged voice and data IP communications packages, VoIP Hosted PBX, SIP trunks, all-in-one voice and video web conferencing, network monitoring, and diagnosis is preferred.

Ø The ideal candidate will have a four year degree in C.S. or E.E. and a minimum of three years product support experience or the equivalent in work experience.

Ø Prior knowledge of the products to be supported, and other networking products and/or networking operating systems, is highly recommended.  

Ø Programming and debugging skills are a plus but not required. The ability to read and analyze network traces is ideal.

The US Health and Life Sciences (HLS) sales organization has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Microsoft Account Executive to become part of something special.   The company is making a major investment in Healthcare growing the number of customers served and dedicated resources each year.   Our clients are primarily healthcare systems, hospitals, clinics and health plans.  

This opportunity has been created by splitting one of our most successful territories as a result of multiple years of success allowing us to hire an additional Account Executive to manage the healthcare customers in the states of Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Southern Illinois.   The newly created position will be responsible for approximately 25 customers spread across these states with the largest concentration of customers is the Missouri / Southern Illinois area.

As an HLS Account Executive you will be responsible for achieving quarterly and annual revenue targets by selling Microsoft technologies and support services across the territory. The successful candidate must be able to creatively tackle complex architecture sales, major competitive threats, and customer "inertia," as well as be able to quickly make appropriate judgment calls and effectively allocate and manage resources.

You will be responsible for conducting quarterly business reviews with key customer contacts to gain insight into their business initiatives and barriers to the success of those initiatives. You will possess executive presence and the ability to develop win/win business relationships at the CxO level within IT and the lines of business. Annual improvements in customer satisfaction will be expected and measured by annual survey.

Development of an effective and actionable territory plan that aligns to the client's business priorities satisfies Microsoft's near term business objectives, and positions the territory for consistent long term growth will be required. A critical success factor for this position is a clear vision and attention to detail, leadership, execution, and engagement. Continuous reinforcement of your territory and account strategy, mentoring v-team members, and recognizing individual and team contributions will be critical.

Development and maintenance of a healthy opportunity pipeline and accurately forecasting your business on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis are part of the job. You must be able to qualify opportunities by clearly articulating the opportunity return to Microsoft strategically, financially, or both. Primary Responsibilities:

Create rapport with appropriate staff members in all accounts, communicate with staff during deliveries, respond to customer requests, and forward customer requests on to sales representative as needed. Communicate with sales representative on special needs stores.
Follow the procedures outlined in the standardized work practices as verified on work-withs. Eliminate waste and maximizes productivity through standardized work (Keep product mobile, No re-work, grab pallets on the way in etc.) Follow Roadnet Schedule.
Maintain neat and Orderly Backrooms, pick up credits on appropriate basis, place loads in proper freezer area, follow store procedures, and complete paperwork appropriately.
Completing proper paperwork for returns, mispicks, and transfers, physically returning product to warehouse when needed. To achieve Above Expectation when physical inventory is completed the variance should be zero.
Conduct activities in a safe manner, follow corporate safety guidelines and requirements (no cell phones while driving, Pre-trip/ Post-trip inspections, proper bending, hand safety, etc.), use PPE, proactively addresses any unsafe conditions observed, locks vehicle, and completes DOT paperwork. Keep a clean and orderly cab and trailer.
Prepare truck for operation by inspecting general condition-validating adherence to DOT standards.
Decision Driving skills including proper following distance, proper eye lead, proper stopping distance, checking intersections, using safety wedge, proper use of horn, left/ right turn execution, seat belt use, checking and scanning mirrors, proper speed maintained, proper lane observance, parks in appropriate locations and avoids backing.
Respond to change with positive attitude, offers suggestions for improvements to increase effectiveness of change, support new initiatives, and maintain an open mind.
Communicate directly with team members on issues, openly shares ideas with others, encourage performance in others, give feedback when needed, train new employees when applicable.
Working Conditions:

Work is performed 50-80% of time at customer locations delivering products, 20-50% on the road driving vehicle.
