Responsibilities:

WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEXT:


  • Answers and screens telephone calls, takes and relays messages as needed and transfers calls to appropriate individuals.


  • Handles routine Employee questions and problems via telephone and/or in person.


  • Prepares memos and reports related to assigned areas.


  • Operates PC equipment utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, database management, presentation software, and various benefit software packages.


  • Operates copy machine, FAX equipment, calculator, telephone, and other standard office equipment.


  • Performs other specific duties as assigned by Team Leader and/or Manager.


Provides friendly service to and maintains positive relationships with all internal and external Customers.


Works in a cooperative spirit to ensure the success of our Company.


Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description.


May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders.


Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:


High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.


Must be at least 18 years of age.


Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.


EDUCATION:


  • High School diploma or equivalency required.


  • College coursework or degree or work experience would be an asset.


WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Knowledge of health and welfare benefits are preferred but not required.


  • Preferred phone and customer service experience.


SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:

  • Must possess ability to type and/or use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet demands of the job.


  • Must be able to operate telephone efficiently and courteously.


  • Must be able to master PC and mainframe software packages.


  • Must be able to follow instructions, read, understand, and learn benefit plan documents and procedures.


  • Must be able to perform mathematical computations.


  • Must have the ability to handle and resolve Employee inquiries and problems.


  • Must possess excellent organizational skills.


  • Must work under tight time constraints to accomplish assignments and projects.


  • Must show an ability to meet with internal Customers, and handle complex issues.


  • Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.


Must be able to work well with others as part of a Team.


Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.


OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Must be willing to travel infrequently and work varying schedules infrequently.


  • Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary and sensitive Company information.


Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
