This position implements and monitors human service programs for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The position is responsible for working with Community Support Providers to ensure the health, safety and welfare of program participants; assuring compliance with state and federal regulations necessary to maintain eligibility for federal financial participation; and monitoring Community Support Provider activities to promote continuous quality improvement. In addition, this position works to ensure people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are provided with choices to be active participants and contributing members of their communities.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, business/public administration or other human service related field is preferred.
Knowledge of:
- intellectual/developmental disabilities services;
- person centered planning;
- positive behavioral supports and people first language;
- applicable federal and state laws, rules and regulations pertaining to intellectual/developmental disabilities.
Ability to:
- establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships and demonstrate compassion, respect, courtesy and tack when interacting with others;
- work efficiently with other staff and community organizations;
- actively listen and communicate information effectively and accurately both orally and in writing;
- interpret and implement state and federal rules and regulations pertaining to intellectual/developmental disabilities;
- gather and analyze data; reason logically and accurately; and solve problems using common sense;
- exercise sound judgment in the performance of assigned responsibilities;
- prepare clear and concise documentation, reports and correspondence that reflect relevant facts;
- effectively plan and organize work activities, adjust to multiple demand and prioritize tasks to complete assignments and meet schedules and deadlines;
- assume initiative with minimal supervision.
