We are a multi-state non-profit whose mission is to provide job training and employment services to workers age 55+. We seek candidates to help administer and execute an innovative and exciting workforce development project.
The Mature Worker Specialist is a participant staff position that will assist in program activities throughout their region, ensuring excellent service delivery to participants in the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP). Other responsibilities include: general office duties, case management, intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel and Outlook), assisting mature workers in organized job search, recruit prospective program applicants, develop community partnerships. Some light work related travel within the county is required, and having a reliable automobile and valid driver’s license is necessary.
Qualifications: High School Diploma and relevant work experience; excellent organizational, and customer service skills; proficient computer skills in Word, Excel and Outlook; good oral and written communication skills; adaptability; flexibility; knowledge of the geographic area and its labor market; maturity. Must be team oriented yet capable of working in a self-directed.
Candidates must be age 55+, unemployed, meet income requirements, and be a Vermont resident.
