Provides administrative support and ensures that the clerical functions of the facility are completed timely and accurately in accordance with policy. Assists the Superintendent in maintaining accurate personnel Records and preparing and maintaining files, certification files, and performs secretarial duties at a Correctional Field Unit. Maintains personal productivity in support of the unit and agency mission. Maintains filing systems, copies and distributes materials, and purges inactive files. Performs keyboarding duties, entering data into forms, documents, and agency data systems. Produces administrative reports and correspondences.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Recent experience providing customer service and administrative support in a professional office setting. Working knowledge of office procedures. Demonstrated skill in typing and operation of automated office equipment. Working knowledge of file management. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Able to work as a team member. Demonstrated skill in the use of Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel to accomplish office support requirements. Recent experience using office equipment (i.e. computers, printers, copier and fax machine).
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer post-secondary courses in office administration or equivalent training or experience in a related field. Prefer working knowledge of a multi-line communication system.
