Responsibilities:
An experienced and talented EMBEDDED SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER with experience in ASIC/board bring-up and BSP. In this role you will work as a Software Development Engineer for embedded networking systems. The candidate should have worked close to hardware systems and should have hands on experience in writing low level software for micro processor, bootstrap development and should have experience in coding in assembly language. Key responsibilities will involve the development of BSP for various chipsets. Experience with LINUX environments is required. Knowledge of hardware and ASIC related technologies will be a plus. You will regularly be required to identify, debug and resolve embedded software issues, therefore, must have strong communication and problem solving skills.
Requirements:
• Requires at least a BS technical degree with 12 years of experience or MS technical degree with 9 years experience developing embedded software.
• Experience in working with various boards and bring up/diagnostics of the hardware.
• Design, develop, and test embedded chip software.
• Proficient in any processor Assembly (ARM/MIPS/X86) and C with product development experience.
• Experience with Linux kernel development.
• Adept at using embedded software development tools, JTAG, gnu debuggers.
• Should have experience in working closely with hardware and ASIC designers.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• System-level knowledge of microprocessor-based designs is required, preferably from the electrons up to the operating system.
Desired Experience:
• Experience in embedded software development in ARM and MIPS processors.
• Experience with the Linux CPU support (arch/…)
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with engineering teams and customers in person and remotely
• System-level knowledge of microprocessor-based designs and FPGA-based designs.
• Experience with IP networking.
