Performs receptionist duties as needed by the department. Serves as first contact for visitors and ambulatory patients for CBU and Lactation Center. Answers and screens telephone calls; takes accurate messages. Responds to inquiries from callers and visitors. Gives direction as needed. Adheres to policies concerning patient confidentiality. Responsible for customer service expectations in the waiting area such as informing family members about delays and ensuring the area is clean and free of clutter. Provides information and direction to customers upon entry to the Women’s Center. Maintains centralized infant security system for CBU, MBU and Pediatrics. Performs admit, transfer, discharge and disable functions of the infant security system. Responds promptly and appropriately to infant alarms according to established department policy. Ensures that all quality controls are run daily. Monitors census in CBU, MBU and Pediatrics. Displays a heightened awareness of persons entering or leaving the Women’s Center as well as those waiting in designated OB areas to ensure safety. Minimum Requirements: High School diploma or GED required. Computer skills and typing ability. |
