This position is for a full time exempt senior level analog mask designer, well versed using Cadence Virtuoso XL and the UNIX operating system. Candidates are required to know and utilize sound analog layout principles and techniques for signal and device matching, proximity effect matching, resistance, cap and noise reduction, high power signal paths, ESD events, electro migration concerns and have good spatial awareness. Candidates should have the ability to decipher schematics and hierarchy, making suggestions to engineers where applicable, to increase the efficiency of layout to increase productivity.
– Typically requires BS degree and 12+ years of related experience or an MS degree and 9+ years of related experience.
– Experience with Cadence Virtuoso XL and the UNIX operating system.
– Candidates should possess good verbal and written communicative skills, be able to interact closely with circuit designers, and have keen sense of attention to detail.
– Good floor planning and scheduling skills are a must along with commitment to published deadlines.
– Knowledge of Skill code, and ability to write Skill code is also very helpful and desired.
