Human Resources Associate - Opt 2 - State of Illinois - Randolph County, IL

Under general direction, performs highly confidential, sensitive, paraprofessional duties in daily operation of the Personnel Office; prepares/submits personnel transaction/documents; answers inquiries; interprets labor contacts, Personnel Rules, Pay Plan, other State/Agency rules, regulations, policies, procedures; types correspondence; maintains confidential personnel files, initiates employment/personnel references; verifies documentation for leaves of absences and other confidential inquiries; researches information for disciplinary/grievance hearings; maintains control of work load for full scale Personnel Office serving employees at Menard Correctional Center and Menard Special Unit.

Minimum Requirements:
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of two years of college or satisfactory completion of an approved training program; requires extensive knowledge of office practices and procedures; requires extensive knowledge of composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation; requires extensive knowledge of arithmetic computations; requires working knowledge of human resources programs, rules and regulations; requires ability to type accurately at 30 wpm.
