Cafeteria Helper
Responsibilities:
Help the cafeteria service their customers by preparing, maintaining, and serving food as requested, as well as keeping the work areas and equipment cleaned and sanitized. Serve menu items, conscious of food safety and quality. Cold food preparation. Clean and sanitize assigned work areas and equipment. Supply food to the serving lines during serving hours. Operate cash register during serving hours. Perform other duties as assigned by the Cafeteria Food Service Manager.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation. General knowledge of specific kitchen equipment and food services. Strong organizational, teamwork and communication skills. Strong customer focus. Energetic, meticulously clean, courteous, and quality conscious. Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis. Understanding of menu pricing. Prior food service experience. Understanding of food measurement and portion control. Ability to follow recipe directions. Excellent attendance and on-time record required.
