SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Respond to customer inquiries about new service line availability, charges, the new service line application processing and mailing to the customer and/ or complaints regarding Company’s products or services. Ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to company policies. Perform a variety of clerical and administrative functions to support customer functions for the company’s operations area such as collecting, processing, and posting of payments to customer accounts. Provide back-up support as needed for other Operations functions.
Essential Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Handle customer’s calls and timely response to field requests and billing inquiries from customers.
Schedule appointments and emergency calls following established company procedures. Process order creations and completions.
Process active arrears. Contact customers and handle settlement agreements. Prepare shut off notices as needed.
Accurately process and post drop box and mail payments to customers’ accounts. Prepare cash and collection receipts, as well as bank deposits.
Prepare weekly and monthly reports related to customers’ accounts.
Marketing :
Handle customer phone inquiries; service availability, the new service line application process and application, and mailing to the customer. Explain new customer expansion programs and charges.
Process new service application, update database, process payment and other related paperwork with the operations department.
Participate in company training as required.
Provide assistance to other functions within the department as needed.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a high school diploma or certificate of successful completion of the General Educational Development Test.
Minimum of two (2) years of related customer service background.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as listening skills.
Excellent organizational skills required.
Excellent computer skills required.
