SALARY: $69,393.00 starting annual salary
The Connecticut Lottery Corporation is seeking to hire a creative Lottery Specialist (Lottery Drawing Supervisor) to perform a full range of tasks and supervise lottery drawing performers conducting drawings on TV. The supervisory capacity is devoted to scheduling, assigning, overseeing work, and establishing performance standards for employees. Responsibilities of this position will include acting as a liaison with vendors, other state lotteries, television studio personnel and regulatory agency personnel regarding policies and procedures. Additional tasks include, but are not limited to, maintaining the integrity and professional presentation of each lottery drawing; lifting/moving equipment; wearing appropriate attire; preparing reports, correspondence, and specifications for public bids; conducting training sessions; appearing on camera; leading and hosting public promotional events; and completing technical tasks. Candidates must have considerable interpersonal, organizational, communication and writing skills, with the ability to keep accurate records, and perform related duties as required.
Experience: Qualified candidates must possess a minimum of eight (8) years of professional experience in marketing, broadcasting, communications, or related field. One (1) year must have been in a supervisory role. College training may be substituted for experience subject to applicable rules. Bachelor’s degree in Business or Communications preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office as well as the ability to learn new computer software systems is expected.
Must possess a valid Connecticut Motor Vehicle driver’s license, and must be available to work some evenings, weekends and holidays. Applicants are encouraged to become familiar with the format by watching telecasts in advance of applying for the position.
