NOW HIRING! $18-$25/hr Full-Time Satellite & Cable Installation Tech - Signal - Omaha, NE

Full-Time Satellite & Cable Installation Technician

Position Summary

Signal is the only company in the Omaha area that sells several different options for cable and satellite service with unrivaled professional expertise. With 18 years experience selling and servicing DirecTV and Dish Network, we also provide sales and service for CenturyLink and Cox. We pride ourselves on providing a one-stop experience for our Omaha customers. And we’re growing.

We are currently seeking a Satellite & Cable Installation Technician to join our team. This job is all about making quality connections, from lining up satellite signals to understanding and meeting the needs of our customers. Our techs don’t scale the corporate ladder, they climb real ones, and they have the ability to take their career to new heights with every install and troubleshooting success.

Like any job worth applying for (and this one certainly is), this position will both challenge and reward you, and you won’t find better benefits anywhere in the industry.

  • Guaranteed 40-hour workweek.

  • Ongoing training in emerging technologies

  • Holidays off

  • Great benefits

  • Above-average income ($18 – $25/hour depending on experience)

  • Solid, local company with deep community roots

Our most successful satellite technicians

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 80 pounds and climb 40-foot ladders.

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Basic computer skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college or technical school a plus

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Serving customers. While it may seem like your main job is to troubleshoot, fix, install, or upgrade satellite package, your real job is customer service. You will be representing a local, grassroots company as well as national brands, so you must also be able to communicate clearly and comfortably while being friendly, approachable, and professional.

  • Coordinate schedules with customers

  • Review their orders and install service accordingly.

  • After installation, provide customers with a system tour as well as tips and tricks to make the most of their new or upgraded service.

Installing, Upgrading, and Troubleshooting
The rest of your job requires you to use your experience and training to make sure each customer is receiving the strongest satellite signal possible.

  • Conduct site surveys, determine the best positioning of the equipment and formulate the wiring plan.

  • Place mounts, dishes and receivers to ensure satellite connectivity.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues, make repairs and replace or upgrade components.

While we’d prefer a confident technician with satellite installation experience, we are willing to train a candidate who has everything else we’re looking for in terms of solid communication and customer service skills, a great work ethic, and an adventurous attitude.
