United States of America: Video Production Specialist

Job Summary / Responsibilities:


  • Support, or lead, digital and video communication initiatives.

  • Creates special effects or other visual images using film, digital, video, computers, or other electronic tools and media for use in company programs/ projects.

  • Collaborates with functional areas on visual requirements of the production.

  • Coordinates and arranges lighting, shooting angles, placement of audio equipment based on requirements.

  • Serves as creative liaison to technical production staff. Manage the video production studio.

  • Develops briefings, brochures, multimedia presentations, web pages, promotional products, technical illustrations, and computer artwork for use in programs, technical manuals, literature, newsletters and slide shows.

  • Participates in the design and production of company marketing and assists with production coordination, background design and other media related projects.

  • Edits and assembles final visual/audio program material for release. Monitors the technical quality of the finished product to ensure compliance, consistency, and desired outcome for the company.

  • Tests all equipment to determine technical quality of recording, audio and lighting prior to production.

  • Oversees the security, operation and maintenance of equipment utilized in production and editing of material.

  • Manage Production Studio and production equipment.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree or its International Equivalent – CommunicationsTechnologies / Technicians and Support ServicesEducation

  • Bachelor’s degree or its international equivalent in Radio/TV, Film, Fine Arts or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Typically requires 2-5 years of experience with operating filming and editing equipment.

  • Articulate, professional and able to communicate in a clear, positive manner with clients and staff.

  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English; fluent in host country language. Preferred

  • Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO).

  • Working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures with production techniques and standards.

  • Skills in video editing software in AdobePremier Pro and CS5.

  • Has video filming experience, editing and podcast recording and production.

  • Understanding of emerging technologies in video production.

  • Knowledge of video/filming production and editing equipment.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to visualize and shoot concepts effectively.

  • Ability to work in a variety of onsite settings.
