Job ID 1392 Company: North River Enterprises Job Location Cumming, GA The ideal candidate will be a certified or registered veterinary technician with at least 5 years of experience in a veterinary practice or a similar role within the animal health, pharmaceutical or pet food industries. The role requires an outgoing, flexible individual. EXCELLENT written and verbal communication skills are absolutely critical to success in this role. A strong working knowledge of internet applications for project management as well as social media is also critical. Ideally, the candidate will also have good proofreading ability and skills at multi-tasking or quickly switching between tasks. This full-time position is a key role within a dynamic consulting firm providing a variety of services to the pet food and animal health industries. Initially, the role will consist primarily of responding to consumer email inquiries regarding pet health and pet nutrition. In addition, creation of cases from complaints and escalation of the case for veterinary attention will be required. Development of a knowledge base of responses to inquiries will be another key aspect of the position. Food safety and quality control programs for pet food manufacturing facilities will be developed by the successful candidate. Blogs, articles, facebook updates and tweets on behalf of clients will be required to be created or revised/edited as a part of this position. Minimal travel may be required for meetings with clients or industry meetings. Strong business development skills will be considered as another plus, as the firm plans to expand into other business areas outside of consulting.
