ICU Medical currently has an open position for a Senior IT End User Computing Analyst located in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Senior IT End User Computing Analyst defines standards to support desktop, mobile and peripheral devices. Creates Desktop and mobile Architecture for System Hardwar (DASH). Participates in the strategy of the End User Computing department. Monitors the quality of installation, maintenance, support and enhancements to the global ICU Medical, Inc. Desktop and mobile infrastructure. Defines and creates documentation to keep an up to date inventory and refresh cycles of devices and their software. This position supports the functions which contribute to the continued operation of ICU Medical Inc. Information Technologies (IT) department including Desktop Imaging, break-fix, new product installation, patch deployment, first and second level phone support, procurement, daily maintenance, and reporting.

Job Assignments:
Directs the maintenance and support of in-house computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. Includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. Creates procedures to monitor and troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate manner, and to provide end user training and assistance where required. Creates procedures to install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot associated end user workstation software and networking software products. Defines requirements for the creation of processes, procedures, policies, and standards as it relates to imaging, patch deployments and upgrades. Research recommends selection of desktop management software and hardware products. Monitors desktop performance, desktop issues, and emergency and scheduled maintenance. Creates and defines information for the monthly status reports for projects progress, open items, and issues. Monitors to ensure the status and resolution of issues pertained to the End User Computing team are updated in the Service Desk software with resolutions and status. Ensures the Information Systems staff and customers are informed at all times. Provides support to service desk relating to desktop administration issues. Monitors implementation of new standards and/or the modification of existing standards to ensure the quality of service are no impacted. Directs team to ensure desktops configurations are providing high performance through monitoring/tuning of systems. Directs team to ensure they are following the established standards for writing and documenting desktop configurations Defines desktop system upgrades and the management of software patches schedules. Participates in the strategy of the Disaster Recovery procedures as it relates to End User Computing devices and management. Performs all job related responsibilities with minimal management direction and guidance. Participates with system administrators to maintain and enhance the global desktop using Incident Management processes Creates standard operating procedures for securing desktop systems, this includes password maintenance, new user logon and setup, and data protection procedures Defines accurate plans of scheduled downtimes to minimize impact on users. Creates SOPs for quick problem resolution for unscheduled downtimes. Creates procedures to coordinate with user community scheduling times and user procedures necessary for desktop system upgrades and/or maintenance. This includes password maintenance, new user logon and setup, file access permissions, and data protection procedures. Participates in strategic initiatives by performing technical project activities. Position will require participation in 24/7 department on-call program. Position may require travel between various ICU Medical Inc. locations. Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related IT field, or four years’ experience in desktop deployment and administration in an enterprise desktop environment. Practical experience in desktop technologies and products from HP and Apple. Working knowledge in supporting Microsoft enterprise solutions and troubleshooting desktop issues. Microsoft certification preferred. Practical experience in deploying, maintaining desktop systems in global environments. Practical experience in testing business continuity and disaster recovery practices. Experience in writing automation scripts with for imaging and deploying desktop systems. Experience participating in global small to medium scale desktop related projects. Travel is required. This is a Temp to Hire Position
