Account Development Manager – The Role:


As a new business Account Manager you will be a determined, energetic, highly motivated person. You will report to the Sales Manager and have the following responsibilities:


  • Prospect for new sales opportunities in new named accounts and build a territory by qualifying and closing new business

  • Prospect for new sales opportunities in existing customer accounts and increase the revenue from those customers by qualifying and closing new and expansion business, up selling, and cross selling solutions

  • Effectively manage existing accounts end ensure superlative service is provided to our customers

  • Meet and consult with sales prospects to determine the best solutions for their specific requirements, follow a structured sales process and close the sale

  • Represent the company at trade exhibitions, demonstrations and other business generation and promotional events

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan, achieve all individual sales targets set by the company, provide accurate sales forecasts and other information requested by the company

  • Organize and manage internal and external resources on behalf of the company to progress and close sales opportunities

  • Attend sales meetings, seminars or educational activities to stay up to date on the latest market trends, and keep up to date with all product information, pricing and contract terms

Account Development Manager – The Candidate:


  • 2+ years’ experience of direct sales in the B2B market with demonstrated success in value based solution sales

  • Proven sales record and experience selling to mid to large enterprises

  • Demonstrated experience developing new business relationships, up selling and cross selling at all levels of enterprise organizations

  • Experience selling high value (six figure) value based solutions

  • Experience of network infrastructure or monitoring or security solutions is highly desirable

  • Degree educated or equivalent experience

  • Value based sales skills using a structured sales approach developed through the appropriate formal sales training programme

  • Well organized and self-motivated with the tenacity to ensure that all personal objectives are achieved
