BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
The Data Support Specialist will provide system data management and administration support for the Border Patrol Facilities Tactical Infrastructure (BPFTI) program management office (PMO). As a Data Support Specialist you will be part of a team that supports planning, leasing, construction and sustainment of real property for the Office of Border Patrol (OBP) facilities and tactical infrastructure (TI).
Clearance Level:
Candidate preference will be given in the following order based on contract requirements:
- Current and Active CBP Full BI (Customs Border Protection Full Background Investigation)
- DOD Top Secret
- DOD Secret
- Other agency background check
- Never submitted for a government clearance (Must have clean record and excellent credit score)
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
Specifically the Data Support Specialist will be responsible for:
- Data tracking and reporting on the Comprehensive Tactical Infrastructure Maintenance and Repair (CTIMR) Contracts
- Timely and accurate reporting and inputting of data associated with the maintenance and repair of the tactical infrastructure. This includes ensuring all data is accurate and up to date in the Work Management System (WMS), the Fence Breach Module, and Systems, Applications and Products for Data Processing (SAP)
- Assisting the Government client in managing and maintaining all work planning, cost, and performance information in an electronic format and enter data and reports directly into the Government web-based WMS
- Preparing summaries, conducting analysis, and running reports based on information contained in the WMS
- Supporting the Border Patrol sector based FM&E Facility Manager in record keeping and time keeping duties, creating reports pertaining to real property management, budget execution, fuel consumption, cell phone usage, equipment and supply needs
- Assisting in the purchase card (PCD) reconciliation functions and SAP entries
- Processing and closing out work orders and assist in the development of work plans
- Providing administrative support that includes routing documents for review and approval, prepping documents for signature, preparing briefing books for facility managers, and conducting small research tasks. This work also includes fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors, word processing, filing, booking travel via Concur, and coordinating meeting arrangements
Education, Skill, and Experience Requirements:
The following skills are required for the Data Support Specialist role:
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Understanding of SAP and TRIRIGA Preferred but not required (Ability to learn these tools quickly will be considered)
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years’ experience or 7 years’ experience
