Position Summary/Essential Duties: (include percentage of time for each duty and corresponding Competency number.)
Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using nursing interventions in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status. Essential duties include
1. Provides assistance to patients with ADL’s (bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding) (70%) competency 5
2. Assists with patients in ambulating, turning, positioning, transferring (5%) Competency 5
3. Assists with stocking and inventory of supplies (10%) Competency 5
4. Provides clean linens, changes bed and maintains an uncluttered environment for patients (10%) competencies 5,6
5. Answers call lights (5%) Competency 6
Education/Expertise:
High School diploma or equivalent
Able to understand all verbal and written instruction; able to record specific simple data. High school graduate with previous work experience or vocational education, as a nursing assistant required
Required Credentials, Licensure or Certification (i.e. RN, RRT):
Maintains Basis Life Support Certification
State Tested Nursing Assistant preferred
