POSITION
DC Prep’s Data and Enrollment Associate is responsible for supporting DC Prep’s campus-based use of data systems and managing the process for enrolling new and returning students. The Data and Enrollment Associate provides support to teachers and campus based leadership teams, as well as responding to external requests or requirements, such as from the Public Charter School Board. This position will be a key part of DC Prep’s Data and Enrollment Team and will work closely with school-based and Home Office staff. This position will report to the Director of Analysis, Data, and Enrollment in the Home Office.
RESPONSIBILITIES OVERVIEW
Data Systems
- Registrar
- Register students into and withdraw students from student information system
- Ensure all electronic grade books are correctly set up
- Manage attendance, discipline, and other reporting to internal and external stakeholders
- Use automated system to notify families of tardies and absences
- Data & Assessments
- Maintain academic dashboards
- Support school leadership team in accessing and understanding student data
- Export information from data systems as needed to support internal projects or external data requests
- Serve as campus assessment coordinator and support campus team in administering assessments
- Report cards
- Generate report cards for students each quarter
- Audit report cards for accuracy and quality
- Coordinate with operations team to mail report cards to families
Enrollment
- Student Recruitment
- Plan and attend open houses or other student recruitment events
- Communicate details of annual student recruitment process with internal audiences
- Respond to calls and emails from prospective families about enrollment at DC Prep
- Distribute marketing materials for student recruitment
- New and Returning Student Enrollment
- Coordinate with home office staff and campus operations team to move all new and returning students through the enrollment process
- Monitor and report enrollment paperwork completion/submission
- Communicate details of re-enrollment dates and deadlines to families and campus staff
- Support campus-based staff in assisting families with completion and submission of enrollment paperwork, including providing front desk coverage/backup as necessary
- Manage residency verification
Miscellaneous
- Train and support staff in their use of student data systems, including PowerTeacher GradeBook, PowerSchool, etc.
- Maintain the databases used for student applications and enrollment
- Other special projects and duties, as needed

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- At least 1 year of experience in a related field
- Bachelor’s degree from a competitive college or university
- Familiarity with the charter movement and/or urban school systems desired
- Previous experience with PowerSchool, student information systems, or database systems a plus
