Description
Cargill Corn Milling North America is a manufacturer of value-added corn and sugar based products serving the Food, Feed and Fermentation segments. From facilities in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Tennessee and Texas, we provide a wide variety of products and services including high fructose corn syrup, corn syrups, dextrose syrups and sucrose that are used in an array of beverage, brewing, confectionery, food and pharmaceutical applications. We also produce a variety of innovative, dry corn ingredients that are used in cereals, snacks, breads, tortillas and animal feed applications. In addition, we produce fuel-grade ethanol and are a leading supplier of corn oil, acidulants, corn gluten meal and corn gluten feed products.
The role of the HR Coop will serve as a full time HR representative for the Corn Milling Eddyville facility to carry out day-to-day HR responsibilities. The role will assist the Eddyville HR Coordinator and other members of the HR team with specific tasks and responsibilities. This is a hourly position.
Principle Accountabilities, include, but are not limited to the following:
- Work with HR team to facilitate local orientation and on-boarding process.
- Engage in process improvement activities and project work as assigned.
- Employee File Management and HR Reporting: Personnel file maintenance and I-9 documentation
- Perform related duties as required to include, but not limited to, PMP tracking, Processing reimbursements and invoices, legal postings, and development of pre-employment materials.
Qualifications
Candidates MUST possess and/or demonstrate the following:
High School diploma/GED equivalent
.
Preference will be given to the candidate that is currently pursuing a
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
Ethical, honest and trustworthy. Take responsibility for own actions.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and software (WORD, EXCEL, ACCESS, POWERPOINT)
Ability to demonstrate effective verbal, nonverbal, and written communication methods to achieve desired results.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
Demonstrated ability to function both independently and as part of a team environment
Ability to interact with diverse workforce
