The SAP Solution Architect is a member of the Global SAP Services team and is primarily responsible for overseeing design and implementation of SAP solutions and executing quality controls to make sure implementation fits the design.


Responsible for establishing future strategy direction of various SAP components and tools.


Position Responsibilities Work closely with functional and technical teams to drive technical design decisions able to identify gaps in proposed vendor solutions.


Must understand future direction initiatives SAP is undertaking and how they relate Ability to analyze impacts of support packs upgrades.


Prior experience as both a business analyst and a programmer is highly desired.


Must understand processes and integration points for various SAP components tools.


Ability to develop prototypes to test design decisions.


Work closely with other and vendor architects.


Perform quality checks, such as code reviews.


Excellent communication and presentation abilities.


Experience Skills (8+ years) Industry experience in reinsurance, or other customer-driven industries such as insurance, financial services, retail, manufacturing, or consumer goods, is highly desired Experience in architecting SAP solutions Proven knowledge of systems architectural concepts and frameworks Deep expertise in architecting integration to SAP Experience developing roadmaps of the evolution of the enterprise application portfolio from current to future state Strong in performance and optimization of SAP Systems Systems integration and support for platforms offered by SAP Proven SAP systems delivery andor system administration knowledge across the suite of major SAP applications versions Support centralization efforts while ensuring a sound production environment continues on legacy systems during transition Demonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to business problems 8+ years working with SAP, including components such as ERP Central Component (ECC), Global Risk and Compliance (GRC), Global Trade Services (GTS), Identity Management (IdM), Solution Manager (Solman).


5+ years working with ABAP SAP Java programming a plus.


Able to navigate the SAP Implementation Management Guide (IMG) in any component.


Must have lead blueprint sessions in prior engagements.


Knowledge of Business Process Management (BPM) and or ABAP workflows is a plus Re-insurance background a plus.


Education and Certifications Bachelorrsquos degree in mathematics, computer science, information systems, or equivalent work experience
