SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTION


The general purpose of this position is to provide clinical behavioral health care to consumers and their families using the assigned Evidence Based Program (EBP) model of treatment.


JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES

Screens referrals to assess appropriate fit to the EBP’s and conducts assessments in accordance with the appropriate EBP model.
Engages primary caregiver and other key participants in active change-oriented treatment in accordance with the EBP model.
Determines diagnoses and implements treatment plans as prescribed within the assigned EBP. Identifies and targets patterns of interaction within the family which are leading to problematic behavior.
Assesses families’ homes for safety and develops, through collaboration with all systems, a thorough safety plan that can be implemented by the family with assistance from supports.
Provides direct clinical treatment using methods compatible with the assigned EBP’s principles and practices.
Maintains clear, concise, and timely documentation of treatment efforts that promotes peer, supervisory, and consultant review and feedback, and that demonstrates compliance with the EBP model. Timeliness includes entering notes within 72 hours of service, completing all EBP model required reporting and tracking in accordance with the assigned EBP.
Collaborates with all relevant systems and key participants within each system to ensure their buy-in and cooperation throughout treatment.
Participates in all EBP training, supervision and consultation activities.
Maintains a caseload that is appropriate for the assigned EBP and consistently meets program unit expectations.
Maintains EBP Quality Assurance procedures in accordance with the program model.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS


Requires the following EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/EXPERIENCE:


Master’s Degree; plus Valid Arizona Driver’s License


SPECIAL EQUIPMENT/SKILLS:


Must have reliable personal transportation.


Working knowledge of MS Office products or similar software, internet,and email.


POPULATION SERVED:


Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the consumers served in the department.

JOB SPECIFIC EXPECTATIONS


PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE


Must be actively seeking licensure with the Arizona BBHE.


Must remain current on EBP model training.


Must maintain current CPR/First Aid and CPI Certification.


Must maintain current Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.


Must maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license and current personal auto liability insurance.


WORK ENVIRONMENT, SPECIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND HAZARDS:


Must be able to provide non-violent physical intervention.


Must be willing and able to videotape and/or audiotape.


Includes non-traditional work hours including some evenings and occasional weekends.


Work is conducted primarily in families’ homes resulting in possible exposure to allergens including pets and cigarette smoke.


Requires a significant amount of driving, covering a multiple county area.

Actively participates in the Quality Assurance Plan of TBH by identifying, notifying and participating in determining and implementing resolutions. Assures that problems are addressed by the appropriate personnel AND that standards are met and that quality is obtained and maintained.


WORK ENVIRONMENT, SPECIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND HAZARDS:


Works in office and consumers’ homes as well as throughout Touchstone, its premises and in the community.


Moves intermittently during working hours.


Is subject to frequent interruptions.


Attends and participates in continuing educational programs


Hazards include risk of exposure to communicable disease.
