Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a User Experience Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
This position will be located in Woodlawn, MD.
The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman39s Health Systems Management operating unit which focuses on Healthcare IT solutions for our Federal, State, and Local government clients.
User Experience Specialist with solid work experience is required to gather and analyze user requirements, design interfaces, and conduct usability testing.
The qualified candidate will have education andor experience with user centered design techniques.
Responsibilities for this position will include User Experience Specialist with solid work experience is required to gather and analyze user requirements, design interfaces, and conduct usability testing.
The qualified candidate will have experience with user centered design techniques.
Derive business processes, analyze user needs, assist in requirements definition, design browser-based interfaces, and design and conduct usability testing.
Elicit business goals and user needs from stakeholders.
Create Personas and Scenarios of Use.
Create and refine screen prototypes.
Document user requirements, screen designs, and design recommendations.
Communicate well in both writing and verbally Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis Assist with coordination of project task and activities Become knowledgeable on the HIPAA policies and procedures for the program and ensure awareness of HIPAA breach process.
Understand your role in HIPAA compliance and be able to execute that role in an effective manner.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor39s Degree and 7 years of relevant work experience or Master39s Degree and 5 years relevant work experience.
Must have 7 years direct Interaction Interface design experience in User-Centered Methods and User Analysis.
2 years39 experience documenting user requirements, screen designs, and design recommendations.
2 years39 experience in designing and conducting formative usability tests in both formal and informal settings.
2 years39 experience preparing and presenting findings and recommendations in small and large group settings.
Must have a strong understanding of responsive design.
MS Office proficiency Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust designation Preferred Qualifications Experience using Axure RP prototyping software.
Prior experience supporting government agencies.
Understanding of Section 508 and its requirements regarding design.
